Tips for Creating Better TikTok Videos
Tip #1 - One Minute Videos
TikTok is pushing for longer form content, and we've seen a trend of success when posting videos that are 1minute+ long. The more people engage with your video, the more the algorithm pushes it.
Tip #2 - Livestreaming
If you haven't noticed already, TikTok is pushing creators to livestream at all times possible.TikTok LOVES livestreams, and they rewards creators who livestream by pushing your video to viewers who are most likely to purchase a product on their For Your Page (FYP).
Here are some best practices for livestreaming:
- Consistency is KEY: Choose a time that you can stick to regularly. Viewers need to know when to tune in.
- Stream for at least 1 HOUR: TikTok rewards longer livestreams
- Focus on the product: Keep the stream centered on the product, but also interact and have fun with your viewers.
Tip #3 - Engagement
After posting a video, engage with the comments and try to spark conversations. TikTok’s algorithm favors comments over shares and likes.
Also, interact with other accounts and creators to increase your video’s visibility.
Tip #4 - Call to Action / TikTok Shop
Including a call to action, like "Get the product today on TikTok Shop," can increase sales. Mentioning "TikTok Shop" at least once in your video seems to help the algorithm push your content to the right audience.
Tip #5 - Text Overlays
Avoid placing text in areas where it might overlap with captions or side features. Use this visual guide to see where the "safe zones" for text are on TikTok.
Optional Tag: If possible, please use #innova or tag @innovaauto in the caption or in a pinned comment.
Tip #6 - Consistent Posts = Success
Many creators post just one product video.
THIS IS A HUGE MISTAKE. HERE'S WHY
Based on what we’ve seen and studied of TikTok, it takes both time and repetition to find a winning video that’ll resonate with your audience.
You wouldn’t expect every video you create to go viral, so why stop at just one for your affiliate products? Even a single viral video can lead to creators earning $100k+ in a single month.
Take Sidney, for example. She has consistently posted and documented her journey as an affiliate, earning over $160k in a single month. Check out what she shared in her post on Twitter below 👇

So don’t feel down even if you get 1 or 0 sales on your first post. It just means there’s still room for growth.
Here's what we recommend starting out
We highly encourage you to post at least 10 videos within 20 days that follow a similar format as the example videos above + your own personal story. We’ve found a lot of our affiliates to have success with this schedule.
